mp3s for pleasure and for pain

whip to the beat of a jazz pianist. via show and tell (the al wilson song has been going through my head today. maybe this is why.)

mix pleasure with a different kind of pain: chipmunk drag via copy comma right (it leaves a vision of Alvin as Marlene Dietrich that will not soon wash from the brain).

for pleasure without pain, hear trains of winnipeg. via zombizi

  1. Not bad, Emily.

    Raised as a CPR Brat, I’ve traveled via VIA Rail from Canada’s East Coast to its West Coast 12 times. (CNR + CPR = VIA Rail).

    ..No, I am not independently wealthy..

    Add the fact that I have been a resident of Winnipeg for nearly 20 years and you get, in me, a uniquely qualified opinion on the subject of train sights and sounds in Winnipeg:

    [BEGIN L8Oo Sez QUOTE:]
    “I hafta say that this cutting edge soundtrack and film clip of yours, about Winnipeg train sounds and sights, Emily, is, like, a pretty good rendering of, you know, how a train actually looks and sounds in Winnipeg. So you should, you know, write some more conducting, and, whatever. Anyway, keep ’em coming! Ok? Or don’t.”
    [END L8Oo Sez QUOTE]

    So, now you know. :`)

    <>Interesting FAQ’s<>:
    CPR = Canadian Pacific Railways
    CNR = Canadian National Railways
    VIA Rail = the amalgamation of CPR and CNR during the 1970’s
